Description of the project:
I wanted to develop a photo story that captured the core fundamental practices in our instructional program at James E. Duckworth. It is always challenging to instruct students who require significant modifications to the curriculum and who are non-verbal. I hoped to highlight how we use technology to modify instruction, and develop communication supports. I also wanted to show evidence of how we are using the current technology in our instructional lessons.
Another purpose of this project was to be able to develop a descriptive project that I can use when I am asked to speak to community organizations about James E. Duckworth School. There is so much to tell, and using the photo story was a great way to tell it.

Reflection:
I really enjoyed all the sessions, but I mostly found the sessions on the document camera and the photo story to be of real benefit for accessing curriculum for our students and teachers. I've used the document camera in professional development and School Improvement meetings, and found it very helpful. I look forward to using some of the cool tools we surveyed at out last session. Overall, this was a great opportunity; however, as the sole administator at my building, I must say that it was sometimes hard to stay focused at the learning sessions as a few emergency situations came up that needed to be handled. Such is the life....
